WRIA 55 Streamflow Restoration Plan Development Process
The Streamflow Restoration Act (RCW 90.94) requires that the WRIA 55 Initiating Governments (Spokane County, Stevens County, Pend Oreille County, City of Spokane, and Whitworth Water District) in collaboration with the WRIA 55 Planning Unit update the WRIA 55 Watershed Plan (approved in 2006 pursuant to RCW 90.82) to include projects and actions that will offset the impact of new projected water use from individual domestic wells that will be put into use between 2018 and 2038. The watershed plan update is documented in the WRIA 55 Watershed Plan Addendum (see link below).
Spokane County served as the lead agency for developing the watershed plan update and a consultant team led by Aspect Consulting provided technical and facilitation support. The planning effort took place between November 2019 and September 2021.
This page documents the planning process including meeting agendas, meeting minutes, technical documents, and other associated documents. Note that past meeting agendas and minutes can be found using the link on the right side of this page.
