Emergency Road Closures

Second State of Emergency:

A second State of Emergency was declared on March 15, 2017 by the Board of County Commissioners due to flooding and an increasing number of severely damaged roads. The State of Emergency was canceled on May 23, 2017. However, several roads remain closed due to the flood damage.
History: Spokane County Public Works Director/County Engineer Mitch Reister requested a countywide declaration of a State of Emergency on Thursday, February 16th 2017, which the Board of County Commissioners immediately approved.  The declaration of an emergency allows the Public Works Department to acquire emergency supplies and equipment to mitigate the flood damage to roads and bridges, primarily in the southeast and northern quadrants of the county. This State of Emergency was rescinded at noon on Thursday, February 23rd 2017.

The list below is being updated as often as conditions change. As roads open, they will be deleted from this list.
