Dishman Hills Glenrose Public Access Plan

The Glenrose Unit of Dishman Hills Conservation Area is a 467-acre open space area owned and managed by Spokane County Parks, Recreation & Golf. The property is bordered on the east by the Ponderosa Neighborhood (City of Spokane Valley) and on the west by the Glenrose Neighborhood (just outside of the City of Spokane). The property currently has no off-street parking, with most visitors parking at the north end of  South Theirman Road.  The trail system consists of primitive former access roads with some single track, including the Cliffs Trail built by Dishman Hills Conservancy with volunteers for several different organizations.

The goal of this project is to develop design plans for a new trailhead parking area to accommodate visitors and develop a trail plan that will create a trail system on the Glenrose Unit that balances recreational opportunities with wildlife needs.
