Active Shooter Preparedness

Public Safety is important to the resilience of Critical Infrastructure; therefore, the Department of Homeland Security offers diverse information and training on Active Shooter Preparedness.

Active shooter incidents are by their nature unpredictable. Anyone can play an integral role in mitigating (lessening the severity of) the impacts. Understanding how best to respond in these situations builds confidence in trusting that you will know what to do if and when you are confronted with an active shooter.

The Brochure How To Respond gives some good preliminary guidance.
