Listed below are specific areas in which potential stormwater retrofit projects are in the early stages of thought/concept. These projects may meet the requirements of the County's NPDES (National Pollutant Discharge Elimination Permit) or UIC (Underground Injection Control) Guidelines, or may be projects within the Stormwater Service Area (SWSA) that are experiencing flooding or erosion issues. Property owners in the area of the potential projects areas were sent postcards telling them about the possible projects, and asking them to visit this page to access a link to the project, then provide feedback through a survey link.
A grant for this project is being applied for in the FY 2020 Washington State Department of Ecology Grant Cycle. If awarded, this project will involve retrofitting existing drainage facilities to provide treatment where applicable.
Wall St (Phase 2) - Greta St. to 200' N of Tieton St
A grant for this project has been awarded to Spokane County Stormwater Utility, by the Washington Sate Department of Ecology. The final project design is being worked on and construction should start in the spring of 2019. The purpose of the project is to retrofit existing drainage facilities to provide treatment where applicable.
