Undersheriff Tower serves as the Chief of Staff for the Sheriff's Office, and is the Sheriff's "Right-hand-man."
He is dedicated to improving the services that are employed by the skilled and highly-trained employees under his supervision. The Undersheriff works to increase training opportunities, and improve working conditions by utilizing the latest technology available which helps to insure the safety and security of those employees. These goals are in keeping with an intense effort to deliver quality service to the people in our community, and meet the needs of Spokane County citizens.
Tower grew up in Spokane and has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice from Washington State University and a Law Degree from Gonzaga University.
Undersheriff Tower has worked with the Spokane County Sheriff's Office for 28 years. During his tenure with the Sheriff's Office he has served as a patrol deputy, property crimes detective, training sergeant, and supervisor of the sexual assault unit. He also served as the Vice President of the Spokane County Deputy Sheriff's Association.
He currently serves as a Law Enforcement Representative on the Children's Justice Task Force; a state wide committee that addresses deficiencies in the child welfare system. In addition, he has served as a member of the Board on Law Enforcement Training and Standards with the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission and is past president of a local youth sports organization. In his spare time he enjoys working as a local high school football and baseball official and is a member of the Washington Officials Association.
