The goal of your Greater Spokane Emergency Management office is to achieve whole community resilience in the time of crisis. To reach our goal, we need to coordinate with community partners to better prepare for disasters, and when there is a crisis, we need to bring everyone together to strategize ongoing response.
Greater Spokane Emergency Management (GSEM) is the coordinating agency for the whole community during major emergencies and disasters. GSEM supports communication between federal, state and local governments, including local agencies and the community of the Greater Spokane area. In addition, GSEM helps facilitate preparedness, response and recovery efforts, and provides public education on a variety of emergency related topics.
Working with our community to ensure our Greater Spokane area prepares, mitigates, responds, and recovers from major emergencies and disasters.
What we do
