The
National VOAD is an association of organizations that mitigate and alleviate the impact of disasters, provides a forum which promotes cooperation, communication, coordination and collaboration; and fosters more effective delivery of services to communities affected by disaster.
The
Washington VOAD is the State Chapter of the National VOAD. Members of the Washington VOAD form a coalition of nonprofit organizations that respond to disasters as part of their overall mission. Together, these organizations foster more effective service to the people affected by disaster through cooperation, coordination, communication and collaboration.
Spokane's
COAD (Community Organizations in Disaster) is the local affiliate that collaborates with both the state and national VOADs.
