Classroom Visits

Do you know how we're able to provide our great education programs for free to students and community members? We are funded by an Aquifer Protection Area (APA) fee. This is a voter-approved fee which goes toward many projects and initiatives that protect the Spokane Valley-Rathdrum Prairie Aquifer - the same aquifer that supplies drinking water to most residents in the greater Spokane area. This fee is anticipated to come up for renewal in the next few years. For more information about the fee, please visit the APA page.

In-Person

Our educators are eager to visit your classroom! Weather-permitting, we'll also meet you on your playground or sports field where our activities will be very similar to our traditional lessons taught at the Water Resource Center.

Virtual

Even as COVID-19 impacts are reduced, we will still visit your classroom virtually via your preferred online platform. We have adapted several lessons to make them meaningful for virtual visits. You tell us what you want to accomplish and we'll give you a few options to choose from...OR...keep it simple and we'll choose for you!
