Spokane County Civil Service has teamed up with Public Safety Testing for the initial testing for our Entry Level Deputy position. All applicants must register and test with Public Safety Testing before proceeding with a Spokane County Application.

Attention Deputy Sheriff Entry Level Applicants
The Spokane County Sheriff's Office is proud to offer up to a $10,000 sign-on bonus (conditions apply) to newly hired Deputy Sheriff-Entry Level applicants (not applicable for current Spokane County employees transferring to the Sheriff’s Office). This bonus is paid out in two payments: 50% of the bonus will be paid on the first regularly scheduled payday after your first day of employment with Spokane County Sheriff's Office; the remaining 50% of the bonus will be paid after one year of service as a Spokane County Sheriff's Deputy and successful completion of probationary period.
Attention Deputy Sheriff Lateral & Intermediate Lateral Applicants
The Spokane County Sheriff's Office is proud to offer up to a $25,000 sign-on bonus (conditions apply) to newly hired Deputy Sheriff-Laterals and Deputy Sheriff-Intermediate Laterals (not applicable for current Spokane County employees transferring to the Sheriff’s Office). This bonus is paid out in two payments: 50% of the bonus will be paid on the first regularly scheduled payday after your first day of employment with Spokane County Sheriff's Office; the remaining 50% of the bonus will be paid after one year of service as a Spokane County Sheriff's Deputy and successful completion of probationary period.
Upon receipt and confirmation of completed Spokane County NEOGOV application, applicant will be sent a Personal History Statement and Training & Experience form with a due date. Applicants who submit their completed paperwork on time and have no automatic disqualifiers (per SCSO Policy 1000) listed on their PHS will be invited for a Physical Ability Test and Oral Board Interview directly through Spokane County Civil Service and the Spokane County Sheriff's Office. Physical Ability Tests given by Public Safety Testing are not accepted for Lateral & Intermediate Lateral applicants.
