The Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Committee, in partnership with the Spokane Law Enforcement Museum, the Spokane Police Department, and the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office will hold a candlelight vigil to coincide with the National Law Enforcement
Memorial ceremony held in Washington D.C. The celebration is intended to recognize those members of law enforcement who have died in the line of duty. This is the first candlelight vigil and organizers anticipate the vigil will be an annual event.
When: Tuesday, May 13,, 2014, beginning at 8:00 p.m. (the ceremony will last approximately 30 minutes)
Where: Public Safety Building cul-de-sac (1100 W. Mallon)
The ceremony will feature: more than 100 lighted candles, law enforcement chaplains, family members of officers killed in the line of duty, etc.
