Today, April 2, 2014, at approximately 10:30 am, a Spokane Police officer witnessed a hit and run collision near the intersection of Division and Magnesium. The suspect fled the scene of the collision initially in his vehicle and then on foot and was taken
into custody a short distance away.
The officer immediately noticed the suspect appeared to be experiencing a medical emergency. Medics were called to the scene. The suspect was transported to a local hospital. He was last listed in critical condition.
The Spokane Investigative Regional Response (S.I.R.R.) Team was activated due to the critical condition of the suspect. The Spokane County Sheriff's Office is the managing agency in this incident. This investigation is on-going and additional information will
be released by the Spokane County Sheriff's Office in the coming days.
