Wife's Ashes Taken During Burglary

Yesterday, December 17th, 2013, Spokane County Sheriff's Deputy Byron Zlateff responded to a residential burglary call near the 4400 block of N. Mayhew Road in Spokane Valley. The victim said sometime in the past 24 hours his residence was burglarized.

Items taken in the burglary included home electronics, power tools, a coin collection and a flat screen television. The victim was especially upset that the burglar(s) took a tin box that contained his wife's ashes. Value of the stolen items is in the thousands.

Tipsters do not have to give their name to collect the cash reward.
