On December 13th, 2013, Spokane County Sheriff’s K-9 Deputy John Cook and his partner Ekko responded to the 2500 block of West Dean Avenue to assist the Spokane Police Department in locating a suspect actively violating a Domestic Violence Protection Order. Deputy Cook received information from SPD Officers that 55-year-old Phillip Lindgren was inside the residence which was a violation of the order. Deputy Cook received further information that SPD had been on scene for approximately 30 minutes and Lindgren refused to come out.

After making several announcements inside the residence, Deputy Cook and Ekko searched the apartment. Within a couple minutes, Ekko entered a closet near the back of the residence. Ekko located Lindgren hiding under a large pile of clothes where he was taken into custody.

Lindgren was booked into jail for Violation of a Domestic Violence Protection Order.
