On Monday, November 4th, 2013, Sheriff's Deputy Mike McNees responded to KMBI Radio on 54th and Freya for a commercial burglary call. Deputy McNees spoke with an employee who told him Sunday morning, November 3rd, 2013, at 8:00 a.m., he received a call
notifying him the monitor on one of the towers was out.
Monday morning the employee found the suspect(s) stole numerous wires from the AM tower. Their AM station has been non-operational since the theft. The station said repairs, labor and replacement will cost several thousands of dollars.
