Sunday, October 13th, 2013, Spokane Valley Sheriff's Deputy Jeffrey Getchell responded to a robbery call at Walmart, located at 5025 E. Sprague. The Loss Prevention Officer (LPO) said at about 4:00 p.m. she attempted to stop a male suspect outside the store as he walked out without paying for a flashlight. When confronted, the suspect brandished a knife in a threatening manner and fled to a vehicle. The LPO was able to write down the license plate which returned as a stolen vehicle which has since been recovered.

There is no suspect information at this time. Attached are photographs of the suspect taken from surveillance video.

Tipsters do not have to give their name to collect the cash reward.
