Yesterday, September 18th, 2013, the Spokane County Sheriff's Office Investigative Task Force (ITF) Recovered an estimated $15,000 worth of stolen appliances. These items are believed to have been stolen from a burglary committed by 40-year-old Derek A.
Larson in June of 2013.
With the assistance of the Spokane Police Departments PACT Team, ITF detectives recovered these stolen items at a residence near the 2200 block of East Gordon. The PACT Team developed information the appliances were at the residence.
ITF detectives contacted the homeowners, advised them they were in possession of the stolen appliances and recovered the items without incident. The homeowners said Larson told them he was a realtor and that he came into possession of the items from a residence
he was trying to sell. The homeowners will not be charged. Larson will be charged with an additional felony charge of Trafficking In Stolen Property. Larson was previously charged with the burglary the appliances were taken from as well as 1st Degree Theft.
