On September 3rd, 2013, Deputy D. Morris responded to Big Bear Storage on East Rowan to investigate a burglary that took place on Sunday, September 1st.
Deputy Morris met the owner of the storage unit who told him on Saturday, August 31st, the storage unit suffered a power surge that disabled the front gate. The owner said she was on site Saturday and Sunday to open the gate for customers.
The vehicle in the surveillance photos was on site going through one of the storage units. A woman in the front seat said she and two other male suspects inside the vehicle were accessing her mother's storage unit. They were not able to provide an access card
and the owner asked to meet them at the office.
The owner said the suspects drove past her and fled the scene in the Durango at a high rate of speed. There was a temporary registration on the rear window of the 2007 Durango and no license plate.
Anyone who possibly recognizes the vehicle in the surveillance photographs is asked to call Crime Check at 509-456-2233.
