On Friday evening, July 26, 2013, at approximately 7:15 p.m., Spokane County Sheriff's Office Collision Investigators responded to a two-car collision near 9500 W. Seven Mile Road in Spokane County. For reasons unknown at this time, the driver of a 4-door
1995 Acura crossed the center line and was hit by a 1999 Ford F250 pickup truck.
Both vehicles had three occupants each. The occupants of the Ford received only minor injuries. A 26-year-old male was the front seat passenger of the Acura. This male died as a result of the collision. A 21-year-old male was the rear, passenger side seat passenger.
He was initially listed in critical condition at the hospital, but has since passed. The 24-year-old male driver sustained serious injuries and is also still hospitalized. At this time it does not appear impairment was a factor. Autopsies on both deceased
passengers of the Acura were completed yesterday and identification will be provided by the Spokane County Medical Examiner's Office. The investigation is ongoing.
