On Thursday, May 10th, The Spokane County Sheriff's Office Burglary Task Force and Investigative Task Force conducted a search warrant near the area of 400 West Kiernan Road. Following a lengthy investigation, investigators from the BTF and ITF developed
probable cause for the warrant at the residence. Investigators developed information that... stolen property and controlled substances were being trafficked out of the residence.
The residence was initially secured with the assistance of the Spokane County Sheriff's Office SWAT Team. Once investigators began to process the scene, a variety of suspected stolen items were located inside the residence. These items included a variety of
electrical musical instruments, multiple laptop computers, overhead projectors and other electronic components. Investigators were able to confirm many of these items had been stolen in the past month.
Investigators also located a quantity of controlled substances as well as drug paraphernalia. Some of the stolen property was matched to specific crimes by serial numbers. However, many of the items will need additional follow-up by investigators to determine
where they were stolen from.
The residence was occupied by three adults when the warrant was served. Present was 29 year-old Nathan "Nate" Carter, 32 year-old Jeffrey Jennings and Jenning's mother. Carter was arrested for Possession of Stolen Property 2nd Degree, Trafficking In Stolen
Property 1st Degree and Possession of a Controlled Substance (heroin). Jennings was arrested for Possession of Stolen Property 2nd Degree, two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance (heroin and methamphetamine) as well as an outstanding local warrant
for DUI. Both Carter and Jennings were booked into the Spokane County Jail on the listed charges.
