On Wednesday, May 2nd, Spokane Valley Sheriff's deputies responded to a robbery at Safeway located near the 14000 block of East Sprague in Spokane Valley. The suspect entered the business and contacted an employee working at the customer service counter. The
employee described the suspect as a white male, in his 30's, short hair with a medium build.
The suspect placed a backpack on the table and ordered the employee to fill the bag with money. The employee was under the impression the suspect had some type of weapon inside the bag.
The suspect fled the business and a short time later detectives located his discarded clothing. Major Crimes Detectives traced the clothing items and located a video of a possible suspect. The attached video-pictures are believed to be of the suspect before
the robbery.
On Monday, May 7th, Spokane Police responded to a similar robbery at a Shadle Park Neighborhood Safeway at 2:30pm. Safeway employees were confident the suspect matched the previous robbery suspect descriptions. The white male fled the area and police were unable
