Patrol
Deputy Jacob "Jake" Spitzer is a graduate of Shadle Park H.S. and earned his Bachelor's Degree from Washington State University in ...2012. He recently graduated at the top of his class during our Reserve Academy and received special recognition from the Patrol Procedures instructors for exhibiting superior officer safety during practical exercises in the Academy.

Deputy Randy Watts was raised in Tennessee and joined the U.S. Navy in 2003. He served honorably as a Helicopter Systems Operator - Search and Rescue Swimmer in the Navy until 2010 when he left active duty to take a position with the Joint Personnel Recovery Agency as a Survival Evasion Resistance Escape (SERE) instructor. Deputy Watts also joined the Air National Guard, is an EMT and is currently training as a firefighter in the ANG. He holds a Bachelor of Science from Illinois University in Education Training and Development; he is married has three young children.

Corrections

Deputy Roman Maier is a graduate of Lewis and Clark H.S. He attended Washington State University and was a member of the Air Force ROTC program during his time in college. Deputy Maier has displayed an excellent breadth of knowledge and understanding for the field of corrections throughout his hiring process.

Deputy JoAnne Kirby is a graduate of LaConner H.S. She earned a degree in Administrations of Justice at Skagit Valley College. She was formerly a volunteer fingerprinting technician with Mt. Vernon PD, and spent five years employed as a Corrections Deputy in Franklin County. We are pleased that Deputy Kirby will be continuing her career in law enforcement with us.

Deputy Augustus “Gus” Clark is a graduate of Lakeside H.S. He has been a volunteer firefighter and EMT with Fire District 9 since 2010 where he is highly praised for his strong work ethic. Deputy Clark has a Class A CDL and his skills and special training are a welcome asset to the Sheriff’s Office.

Deputy Thomas Bocook is a graduate of Reardan H.S. He joined the US Marine Corp in 2005 and served honorably until 2009 as a Combat Marksmanship Coach and completed a tour of duty in Iraq. After leaving active duty, Deputy Bocook was trained and certified as an Armed Security Guard through the Criminal Justice Training Commission. We look forward to benefiting from his experiences and proudly welcome him to our team.
