On Sunday, January 13, 2013, at about 4:30 a.m., Spokane County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a shooting call near the 4000 block of North Garfield Road. Deputies arrived on scene and located a deceased adult male inside the residence.
Spokane County Major Crimes Detectives and Forensics investigated the scene much of Sunday. As a result of the investigation, 52-year-old Mark Cavazos was charged with 2nd Degree Murder and booked into the Spokane County Jail. The investigation is on-going
and the Medical Examiner's Office will release the identity of the victim after an autopsy is completed.
