Luring Attempt

Posted 12/11/2012 2:50 PM by KWESTBERG

This morning, December 11, 2012, at about 8:30 a.m., Spokane County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the area of Bridle Trail and Lidgerwood to a possible attempted luring incident. A 6th grade student was waiting by herself at the bus stop when a grey Suburban with a black stripe on the side pulled up to her.

The victim said the male passenger, who she described as a white male in his twenties with blonde hair, blonde beard and mustache, rolled down his window and asked if she needed a ride into town. As the victim backed away from the vehicle, the passenger opened his door but never exited. The victim also described the driver as a white male in his twenties, blonde hair and no facial hair. The victim said the vehicle sped away shortly after stopping.

The victim also said there was a decal on the back window she described as being grey with black flames. Deputies were not able to locate the vehicle in the area. The Mead School District has notified parents in the district of the incident.

Anyone with information about this attempted luring is asked to call Crime Check at 509-456-2233.
