On Tuesday, August 7, 2012, Spokane County Sheriff's Office Major Crimes Detectives arrested 40 year old Daniel Arteaga for the murder of 35 year old Kimberly Schmidt. Arteaga is currently booked in the Spokane County Jail on the murder charge.
Major Crimes Detectives are currently serving a search warrant at Arteaga's residence in Spokane Valley. The investigation is ongoing and more details will become available through the week.
