Use of Force Video
This video was created by the Lane County District Attorney's Office in Oregon, with the assistance of the Eugene Police Department and other local agencies. This video provides important details regarding officer-involved shootings and the process used to investigate them. The process that is explained is from Lane County in Oregon, however, the process used in Spokane County, WA is similar.
The video includes a series of segments designed to debunk common myths and misconceptions, most of which are addressed by national and regional experts, including Dr. Bill Lewinski of the Force Science Research Center, Dr. Alexis Artwohl (Behavioral Science Consultant to Law Enforcement), Eugene Police Officer Joe Kidd, Lane County District Attorney Alex Gardner, and Sgt. Alan Gilbert of the Oregon State Police.
