Currently the City of Spokane Park Board has submitted a property nomination of 0.8 acres within Riverfront Park via the “Unforeseen Opportunities” provision of the Spokane County Conservation Futures Program. The Conservation Futures Lands Subcommittee and the Spokane County Parks Advisory Committee (all made up of volunteers from the community) met several times to tour, thoroughly review and evaluate the proposed acquisition nomination against the Evaluation Criteria used for all properties acquired through the Conservation Futures Program.
Both the subcommittee and the advisory committee recommended in favor of acquiring this property subject to very specific terms and conditions outlined within the survey.
