McLellan Conservation Area
Description
This conservation area consists of 410 acres on the south bank of Long Lake and has over 1.5 miles of relatively undisturbed shoreline. The property is nearly flat except the portion adjacent to Long Lake where there is a short but fairly steep embankment. Vegetation at McLellan Conservation Area is primarily Ponderosa pine with Douglas fir communities on the hillside abutting the lake.

Rules
- Dogs can be disruptive to wildlife and must be kept on a leash at all times while in the conservation area.
- Motorized vehicles are not permitted in the conservation area.
- Hunting and/or shooting are not permitted in the conservation area.
- No campfires are permitted in the conservation area.
Location
From I-90:
- Take the Maple Street exit #280
- Drive north to on Walnut Street approximately 1.5 miles
- Turn left (northwest) on Northwest Boulevard, driving for 2 miles
- Continue north on Assembly Rd for another 1 mile
- Turn left on Nine Mile Road/WA SR291, drive for 5 miles
- Turn left on Charles, across Nine Mile Dam Bridge, drive for 5 miles
- Turn right on South Bank, driving for 6 miles
- Turn right on McLellan Lane, drive for 0.7 miles
- The Conservation Area is at the end of McLellan Lane
