Civil Service employees work for the Sheriff's Office, while Non-Civil Service are general county employees.
Civil Service job families are offered by the Spokane County Sheriff's Office. Not all Civil Service jobs are deputies. There are opportunities for deputies, clerical workers, dispatch, automotive and many other fields.
Non-Civil Service job families are offered by Spokane County and it's various departments. These opportunities include, but are not limited to, Accounting, Engineering, Trades/Grounds Maintenance, Courts/Legal, Parks and Recreation, Information Technology, and Utilities.
