Welcome!

The year 2009 is proving an ever-increasing difficult time as everyone’s budget gets a little tighter. However, there is no better time for a fair than this year, a year in which everyone could use a break.

This year we have great acts in the Grandstand such as the Beach Boys, Rodney Atkins, Glen Campbell, Truck Pulls, PRCA Rodeo, and Demolition Derbies.

Whether it is escaping the everyday world by enjoying a few hours of fun, bringing your family for a day of fun, or enjoying some vacation time...live it up and check out all the fun activities that we offer across all 10 days of the Fair. We Have Something to Crow About this year at the 2009 Spokane Interstate Fair.

Superintendent Spotlight

On April 6, 2009 the Spokane Interstate Fair lost one of its long-time supporters and friend...Tom Reed. Thomas H. Reed began as a Superintendent of Grange Day in 1986. Throughout the years he has also worked tirelessly in the Grange Booth Department with his wife, Bonnie, and has served as the Fair's official Ambassador and Major Award Winners photographer.

As Superintendent of Grange Day, Tom recruited entertainers from all over the Northwest to perform on the Community Stage (East Stage). Acts ranging from yodelers to Scottish dancers; singers to accordian players shared in spreading the word about the Grange. Grange Day is traditionally held on the second Saturday of the Fair. Tom Reed was also a member of the Central Grange and recruited many, many members for the fraternal organization.

Many of the photos taken at the Fair each year have been the artwork of Tom Reed. The Fair is truly grateful for Tom's years of hard work and dedication and thankful that we have so many of his photos to cherish. Tom will indeed be missed and the staff sends their love to his wife and family.
