Greetings! This year is especially exciting as we celebrate our 60th Diamond Anniversary at our current location. Great entertainment, fantastic food, creative competitive exhibits, and fabulous commercial vendors are all awaiting your visit to the Fair.

On September 11th, we will be having a commemorative event and parade honoring the 10th Anniversary of 9/11. We hope that you will join us for this patriotic occasion.

Superintendent Spotlight

Andrew Tate is the Superintendent of the O-Mok-See Department. This department took shape when he came to the Interstate Fair and pushed for gaming events in the adult horse department.

From his first year of running this department in 1999, the number of his exhibitors has increased as well as the number of events. He has added multiple performance riding classes, Western Pleasure, Western Equitation, English Pleasure, English Equitation, Trail & Lunge-Line for horse as well as miniature horses and ponies. Last year, Novice Reining was added. From year to year he looks for other ways to improve the show, making it even more enjoyable to all exhibitors.

Even as he grew up in Spokane Valley, he always enjoyed working with horses. Once in high school at East Valley a dear friend asked him to join her 4-H Club where he was introduced to the excitement of gaming. For Andrew the thing he enjoys most about running the O-Mok-See Department is when he hears the competitors and spectators say “Thank you” or “We enjoyed the show.”
