Meet Miss Spokane Interstate Rodeo
Hey Ya’ll! I am Macy LaValley, the 19-year-old daughter of Cari and Danny LaValley. I grew up surrounded by horses, family and wilderness. Born in Fairbanks, Alaska the outdoors became a major part of my life. I am the 2nd youngest of 5 kids, and cowgirl to the bone. Growing up, although there weren’t rodeos, horses were my life. I started riding at the age of 3 and completed 12 years of 4-H, along with 3 years in Pony Club and multiple years in local associations. I participated every year in horse shows and game days. When I moved to Washington, I became actively involved in the Cheney Events Association and a member of the Cheney High School Equestrian Team. I was granted the opportunity to be part of the Cheney Rodeo Flag Team for the last 3 years holding the 2011 Miss Cheney Rodeo title. As a young child, I enjoyed 4-wheeling, sledding, snowmobiling, and trail riding on the many backwoods of the Alaskan Wilderness. I currently enjoy the outdoors, especially camping, fishing, and swimming. With less trails around my house, I often take my horses and spend time riding miles of open fields. I also enjoy cooking, drawing, and teaching children horsemanship and horse safety. Along with my busy horse life, I am a current Sophomore at Eastern Washington University where I am pursuing a double major in Criminal Justice and Psychology. I then have plans to work for my Master’s in Criminal Psychology in hopes to one day become a member of the Behavioral Analysis Unit of the FBI. As Miss Spokane Interstate Rodeo I hope that my love for the sport, history and lifestyle of rodeo shows and invites new fans to fill the grandstands of the Spokane Arena. Whether this is your first rodeo, or your 50th; whether you are 5 or 75, the Spokane Rodeo promises to bring enjoyment, entertainment, and down-home western fun! I hope to see new and old fans and faces wearing their pink and dancing along to the music at this year’s rodeo!
Until then, Happy Trails and God Bless,
2013 Miss Spokane Interstate Rodeo Queen
