At this time of year, sunshine and warm temperatures attract many people to the Spokane River and
area lakes. Please be aware that the the river is running fast and nearby lakes can be deceptively cold. Remember that children 12 years of age and younger are required to wear life jackets while on board underway boats that are under 19 feet in length.
