Located 20 miles south of Spokane on Highway 195, the Town of Spangle is home to approximately 250 residents, an estimated 48% of whom are considered low income.  With it's close proximity to Spokane and to the main arterial serving Pullman, Washington and points south, coupled with recent improvements to major infrastructure components, the Town is currently poised to benefit from the recent trend toward economic and population growth into the outlying areas of Spokane County.

The Town of Spangle has participated in the Spokane County Urban County Consortium since its inception in 1988, and in that time has successfully completed 10 projects with the assistance of approximately $771,664 in CDBG funds.
