We have a team of professional and qualified administrative, technical, and support staff to carry out our responsibilities related to regional land use planning and administration and enforcement of the State Building Code Act, the County Zoning Code, Critical Areas Ordinance and other regulations governing land use/development and the construction and alteration of buildings within the County. We have a dedicated fund that is used exclusively to finance department operations, affording us flexibility in dealing with the fluctuating demands for services that meet the unique needs of our community.
Our permit center, located on the main floor of the Public Works Building, is designed to provide the majority of county permit issuance functions, land use information and construction plan review at single convenient location. In most cases, the Center will eliminate the necessity of traveling to other buildings for information, clearances or approvals.
With the combination of the two divisions, the Department can offer a wider array of services to the customer. Click on 'more' to view the services.
