For your convenience we have provided a computer in the Auto Licensing office
in the County Courthouse that may be used for renewing your vehicle and vessel tabs online,
using your Master Charge or Visa credit or debit cards. For additional information, go to
the Washington State

Beginning January 1, 2000 the majority of Washington vehicle plates are
required to be on the standard mountain background.
The first phase will require replacement of the green and white plates and the yellow vanity
plates by the new mountain plates with tabs expiring in the year 2000.
Exceptions to this replacement requirement are Medal of Honor license plates,
collector license plates issued before January 1, 1987 and commercial vehicles carrying more
than 26,000 pounds gross weight. The second phase will require you to replace your plates every 7 years.
The fee for replacement plates is $24.00. (ESSB 6103 Sec. 301, RCW 46.16.237)
