Indoor Water Conservation
Reducing the amount of water we use indoors helps our water reclamation facility and wastewater treatment plants operate more effectively. Sending less water down the drain also preserves sewer capacity for the future.
In homes, flushing toilets and washing clothes are the two biggest water uses. You can reduce water use in your home by installing Energy Star clothes washers or WaterSense toilets, showerheads, and faucets.
Spokane County currently provides water conservation rebates to sewer customers in the Hangman Hills neighborhood or multifamily residential facilities. For more information on rebates, please visit www.spokanewatersmart.org
