Mission Statement: The mission of Spokane County Superior Court is to administer justice with fairness, equality, integrity, to resolve matters before the court in a timely manner with trained and motivated staff, and to provide courteous and prompt service in a manner that inspires public trust and confidence.
The Superior Court's hours are: Monday through Friday, 8:30 - noon and 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. The Court is closed on all
major holidays.
Please note that the Clerk's Office, where all court files are held and filings are received, has
different working hours than the Court. Please refer to their website for their hours:

The Spokane County Superior Court is one of 39 Superior Courts in Washington. There is one Superior Court serving each county, although some smaller counties have been combined to form 31 judicial districts.
Spokane County has 12 Superior Court Judges elected to four-year terms. In addition to certain special assignments, Spokane County Superior Court Judges and Commissioners hear and decide cases assigned to them by the Presiding Judge.

NEW - Policy Allowing Victims of Domestic Violence to Request a Modification or Rescission of No-Contact Order (NCO) - Effective 1/1/2011
Superior Court has adopted a policy allowing victims of domestic violence to request a modification or rescission of a No-Contact Order (NCO). The policy implements recent legislation and is effective immediately. Statutory authority: RCW 10.99.040. The policy, instructions and forms are on the criminal court page.
Notice Regarding Felony First Appearances:
Effective Wednesday, April 1, 2009, all felony first appearances, including the jail video appearances, will be heard by the Chief Criminal Judge of the Superior Court at 1:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. If you have questions please contact Ron Miles, Court Administrator using our contact us form.
Ex Parte Policy - Effective September 1, 2010:
The Superior Court has adopted a new Ex Parte Policy effective September 1, 2010.

Most trials and hearings are open to the public. Citizens are encouraged to attend and become more familiar with their courts.
