Welcome to Spokane County's website for information about the recently acquired Spokane County Raceway, formerly Spokane Raceway Park. The facility is located in the city of Airway Heights.
Long-Term Raceway Operator
Spokane County recently selected Austin Motorsports Management, LLC to be its long-term operator for the Spokane County Raceway. The County and Austin signed a 25-year Operator's Agreement in December, 2008. Public Workshops
Spokane County Parks and Recreation and the City of Airway Heights held public workshops to discuss recreational possibilities at the Spokane County Raceway in Airway Heights on Saturday December 6th and Saturday December 13th, 2008. Long term plans include operation of the Spokane County Raceway by Austin Motorsports Management, LLC, and the future development of a West Plains Sports Complex on adjoining acreage. Local Architecture and Engineering firms Sherry, Pratt, Van Voorhis and USKH, Inc., are working to complete master plans for the site presently. If you were unable to attend a workshop you can still submit your comments directly to the Spokane County Parks Department. Look for announcements from Spokane County soon for the next round of public workshops to review and provide input on mater plan alternatives!
