Admission - Schools

The Spokane County Fair and Expo Center would like to invite elementary school classes to this year's Interstate Fair. Teachers completing the Application Form below and receiving confirmation from the Interstate Fair will receive free admission to the Interstate Fair for their class and chaperons. Looking for a lesson plan to tie in with your visit to the Fair? We have some excellent links to assist you (below).  The School Tour program does not apply to daycare facilities and those in home school programs but we welcome individuals in these programs to participate in other specials throughout the Fair including Safeway Family on Wednesday, September 12.

Which days may classes visit the Fair?

Teachers are allowed to request a reservation on September 10, 11, 12, 13, or 14. The Fair may only accept a limited amount of school children each day, so early reservations are encouraged.

What hours can we come?

Check-in times are between 9:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

Where do we check-in?

Further information regarding the location of check-in will be provided in the Confirmation Letter prior to the Fair.

How many chaperons are permitted with the group?

A chaperon must be provided for every 5-7 children during your visit. For those needing special care, we request that a chaperon be provided for every 2-3 people.

How do I know what day the Fair has chosen for my class to visit?

A confirmation letter will be sent with your reserved date and time in the middle of August. You will be asked to show the confirmation slip upon arrival.

What if we get separated after arriving to the Fair?

If a member of your party gets separated while visiting the Fair, contact a security guard for assistance. Every child MUST wear a badge with their first name and last name initial (i.e. Connor M.), school name, chaperon (or teacher's) name, and the school's telephone number.
