Bus Board Ads

Have you seen these bus boards on the Spokane Transit buses? Spokane County Community Services entered into a contract with Gateway Outdoor Advertising to place these four images on 54 exterior bus boards and 30 interior panels until December 2007. Many of the bus boards may remain past December until new ads replace them.
The objective of this project is to reach two groups:
- The Start Talking images are focused toward parents and encourages them to start talking to their children about the risks associated with alcohol consumption.

- The Soberbreakin and Soberjammin images are focused toward teens and are designed to challenge a common myth that one must consume alcohol to have a good time.

Pictured are Denise Hulsizer of Gateway Advertising and Henry Ewald, former practicum student with the prevention unit. Denise, Henry and County staff were instrumental in getting the Bus Board project implemented.
