Advanced School of Leadership

For the last few years the director of Spokane County 911, Lorlee Mizell, offered advanced training in Leadership Skills Development to Call Receivers. The first series of classes (School of Leadership), taught by De Hicks of The Stuart Consulting Group (SCGI), were well received and inspired participation in an advanced class (and a Supervisory class). The Advance School of Leadership (ASOL) included researching and creating a white paper about the impact of Next Generation 911 on Call Center employees. In addition to the white paper the group was tasked with creating two presentations about Next Generation 911; one for audiences within the Emergency Communications industry and one for Public Education. The team is also responsible for internal training about Next Generation 911 at Spokane County 911.

The group has given presentations to a variety of audiences, including agency directors, and call center supervisors.

A copy of the white paper can be accessed by clicking on the link below.
