At SCRAPS, we love our volunteers! Our volunteer program (PDF) supports every aspect of our work from walking dogs and socializing cats to educational outreach and special events. As a volunteer, you will work with staff and other volunteers who share your interests. You don’t have to be experienced, all you need is to love and respect animals and be able to make a time commitment that fits best into your schedule.
Attend a Volunteer Orientation held at SCRAPS, and learn about what we do, our mission, our public services, and volunteer opportunities. Everyone is welcome to join us at this meeting, you do not need to preregister. Learn how volunteers work to enhance the animals’ stay here as well as find them new homes. To volunteer at SCRAPS you must be 16 or older.
If you're younger than 16 and need community service hours for school you can volunteer with SCRAPS (PDF). Volunteers younger than 16 can help the animals in a variety of ways such as food or donation drives, garage sales, car washes, making special treats - let your imagination be your guide!
Sick, injured, pregnant, nursing or stressed animals do not stay at SCRAPS. They have the chance to go to a foster family until they are ready to find their forever home. Foster volunteers are special people! They make sure animals have the time and love they need along with a warm home and a full bowl. Only when animals are ready will they come back to SCRAPS. Can you be a foster volunteer? Fill out an online application today.
Please fill out an application before coming to orientation. After we receive your application a SCRAPS representative will contact you with further questions.

Not all jobs are open at all times, open positions will be posted at the Volunteer Orientation. For additional questions email SCRAPS Volunteer Coordinator.
