Homeland Security Information Network (HSIN)
What is HSIN: it is the nation’s focal point for sharing Sensitive But Unclassified information. It enables Federal, State, local, tribal, territorial, international and private sector homeland security partners to achieve their missions through information sharing.
What is a Fusion Center: provide interdisciplinary expertise, conduct analysis, and facilitate information sharing and situational awareness to assist law enforcement and homeland security partners in understanding the local implications of national intelligence, thus enabling them to better prevent, protect against, and respond to crime and terrorism in their communities.
COMMUNITY OF INTEREST (COI) USER GUIDELINES
As part of an ongoing effort to share and disseminate information, threat advisories, and finished intelligence products to our Federal, State, local, tribal, territorial, international and private sector homeland security partners, the Washington State Fusion Center (WSFC) is granting you access to its Washington Infrastructure Protection (WA-IP) site on HSIN. As part of this effort, you hereby agree to the following stipulations:
•Access is being granted under the condition that any information you may access on the WA-IP site will NOT be disseminated to the general public, news media and/or other individuals within your agency or organization who do NOT have a valid “need-to-know.”
•You are also directed to adhere to any additional dissemination restrictions included with information, products, or documents posted on the WA-IP site.
•The WA-IP site contains Sensitive But Unclassified (SBU) information. Therefore, you will NOT access the WA-IP site from a public computer, or in a public setting (e.g., library, airport terminal, etc.).
•You will contact the WSFC prior to posting any information on the WA-IP site.
•You will NOT delete any information from the WA-IP site.
•You will properly safeguard your HSIN account username and password.
